This is surprising. I was expecting to read how people were pulling these discs sunk in axle deep in 4th gear with a Farmall H that's got misses in two cylinders.
We used to pull a 16' 470, with a 16' spring tooth harrow and a 16' length of well casing all in a big train behind the 856. 4th Low on the first pass, then 1st Hi on the 2nd pass. When that pipe would load up with dirt you knew you had something behind you.
The 470 is still a light disc, though. Never had much luck chopping up corn stalks with it.
