I grew up on a Cockshutt 30 that was a rough riding tractor because of the poor leaf spring type of seat but it ran and ran. There were aftermarket seats that solved that problem. We then went to Oliver's and they were generally comfortable tractors to work. The worst tractor I have ever driven is my neighbors 4 year old 90 HP Massey. It has short wheelbase and beats you to death. I rented it to plant corn and I have never been so sore afterwards. The controls are made of cheap plastic and are awkward to use. The transmission is a 6 speed but 5th and 6th gears are useless. It will theoretically travel 34mph in 6th but that is much too fast to run this tractor on the road. Fifth gear is a little slower but still too fast for field work so 4 gears are all you have. Other neighbors have bought new Massey's and they all complain about the lack of comfort due to the short wheelbases.
