Belarus 1500. This was the most morphydite piece of junk you can imagine. This was the Russian attempt at a big tractor in the early 1960's. It had a huge v-6 engine with about 170 hp in articulated 4 wheel drive so it just played with a 5 bottom plow. Had no oil filter-just a strainer. Steering wheel was on the right side of the cab with a jump seat on the left for team driving. Tractor was designed to be one size fits all uses. Road construction, farming, logging, you name it! Had air conditioning-was a tank on the top of the cab and you put dry ice in it and blew air through it. There was no roads in Russia so you hooked three barge boxes behind it and just started off for the mill 75 or a 100 miles away-over hill, over dale, through creeks with your wheat. Had air brakes for tractor and trailers. Was designed to start at -70 degrees with use of single cylinder, two stroke cycle pony motor. If you could get the pony motor started the main engine would start. Trouble was the crap pony motor. Was my Dads estate and we couldn't find anyone to buy it. Worked for a year-finally found a guy 100 miles away that had a whole fleet of them that pulled dirt scrapers. He gave us $2500.00 for it and that was a gift. The Gov't made the company quit importing them because because they were so bad at polluting.
