up in nebraska 30 so years ago i loaded corn at an old elevator. guy who was running the downspout ran down stairs hollerin get out quick. about 300 bushels into loading the corn was smoking. we opened hopper door n let it out on the drive. it didnt flame up but they discovered a wet load was dumped in the bin. they had a dryer and started transfering corn till it wasnt smoking. actually was steam. i got a load out of another bin but after that i didnt load there for a while even though i had several loads contracted. i dont want to be like those trash haulers ,get a load n get almost to the dump n its on fire
