I'll add to Mark-Ia comments.. If the engine block is original; there are one letter and four numbers on flat area at top of the block under the generator.. Scrape paint.. These engine serial numbers and other information will get you the tractor serial-number.. Give to dealers territory manager, and may any other information off the tractor they my need.. All information goes on a form, you sign. It will take a long time; but you should get a replace plate with your tractors serial-number. All secure, even Deere will come out and put on the new plate...
