Yea, it's mechanical drive. You are right about older tractors hydraulics not able to handle the hydraulic drives. In fact, the Oliver hydraulics won't even raise the auger. I have to set it up with another tractor, then put the Oliver on to run it to free up my loader tractor for other jobs. And the old Case doesn't even have hydraulics. I don't need to use the old tractors but it's fun to make them work once in a while. Kinda like us old (mostly) retired guys. A little work once in a while is good for us. lol
