No charge from 6 volt gennie with positive ground. Took it apart and it was very dirty inside as well as rust. Gave everything a good clean and was about to put it together again when I saw something which I think is the cause of the problem. One wire from the field coil has a connection and was connected to the small nut on the end plate to one of the brushes - there is what is left of a bit of wire on the other wire which connects the two field coils - should this actually be connected to the other brush with the flat head screw which I am pointing at? Hopefully the pictures explain it better than I am doing.
