I have a Farmall B (serial number - FAB201440, Chicago, IL) that needs a new or rebuilt starter. It has a gas engine and is powered with a 6 volt system. The original equipment, I believe, is a Delco 1107021 with a saddle mounted start switch that is oriented in a way that the operator pushes the linkage with his foot from the seat in order to start the tractor . As I have searched for an aftermarket starter all that I have been able to find are starters that after install would have the switch turned around 180 degrees so that the linkage would have to be modified in order to start the tractor. I would rather not have to altar the design of the starting mechanism. Where can I find the correct starter for this model tractor?
