I'm a Farmall guy. The Ford 5000 may be great for you. My comment is the Farmall 460 (& 560) and the Farmall 450. I owned a 460. Now I own a 450. The reason I got rid of the 460 is because it was so darn unhandy. It took a country mile to turn, even tho mine was a NFE. When you sit in the seat of a 460 (and a 560 is similar) and look forward, the hood looks like the deck of an aircraft carrier. It is long and does not turn sharply. I owned a John Deere 3020 at the same time as the Farmall 460 and the difference was night and day IN FAVOR OF THE DEERE. It was a truly a new generation, powerful, but handy, turned sharp, etc. while the Farmall 460 was the newest version of the 1939 Farmall H. I do like my Farmall 450 as it has the live pto, power steering, fast hitch adapted to three point, etc. Good luck in whatever you choose. kelly
