It can t be the wheels making that sound because you can hear it even when the tractor is stopped. The water pump is possible but the tractor has low oil pressure and some blow by so I was also thinking it could be a ring on the pistons broke and the piston hitting a piece of the ring. I ll have to try taking the fan belt off but I m pretty sure the motor is going to need torn down and basically all rebuilt because of the blow by and the knocking.
