Hello! I just bought my first tractor and it is an allis d17, and first thing I noticed is there is a clanking noise that sounds like it is it is in the rear end but also I kind of thought it could be a broke crank in the engine but you can hear the noise better in the rear end. My question is has anyone ever had this noise and does anyone know what it is and what the fix is? I would really like to get this fixed so that I can work it a little in the fall.
Another problem is that the power director does not have a neutral but the high and low works fine. Is there an adjustment on it that can be done or is it just wore out?
