If you have MEK USE IT! The "green" wackos hate it because it works so well. It also stays put in ground water for decades so do not pour it into your well. If fairness to the maker of your seal kit though I thought MEK had been altered but was still called MEK. But I really dunno - all I know is the the real thing is outstanding.
