You know, for all the complaining we do and long for the good old days when there was a dealer for most everything within 15 miles or so, once you embrace technology, it's not so bad now. Last time I needed a box of pickup tines for the round baler and tried to get them from the dealer, she was out, but had some coming on a stock order. I had her send me a box when they came in, but I still didn't get them that day and had to pay shipping. Other than having somebody to socialize with for a few minutes, and picking up a few other parts, I didn't gain anything by trying to get them there. It cost me gas and time.
I needed more, did a quick search on line, called All States and two boxes are on the way. I'm out the door to use my gas and time to haul some bales home. It's kind of like Carly Simon sang, these are the good old days.
