Back when we used to plow with the Cat we used a mix of gun grease and 90wt transmission oil would just about pour in track rollers with no problems and some of them I don't think had much for a seal in them. The D-4 had different rollers that the D-6 did with there being about 20 year difference in age. We used the track roller pump to pump the thinned grease into the rollers. The pump would not pump thick gun grease.
