Track roller lubrication

I have a Bobcat T-590 that I use to load manure (occasionally) Clearing fence rows right now and noticed a sound in the undercarriage. Had used IR thermometer previously to find roller that had run out of oil. They cost about $400 each and I just replaced the last one. This time there was not enough of a temperature difference to determine which one is bad and with 2200 hrs on machine i got to thinking there may be more than one so i removed tracks and rollers. the rollers each have plugs for oil. There is one that is dry and turns easier than the others. I want to put the oil level to the same level in all rollers and am guessing that it is 90-140 but there are no specs as Bobcat offers no service items for them and BERCO who manufactures the rollers is a wholesale only company.I put oil in the questionable rolled and it weeps out. Any thoughts about putting in grease? I will probably order a new undercarriage to install this winter but need to keep operating in the meantime. Think it will go another 2-300 hrs ?
Thanks

We had the same thing happen on a T-770, I just pumped it up with Lucas Red-N-Tacky grease to put it back in service until new parts came in. It did fine and it got a lot of hours and miles on it during that time. It gets used with a drum cutter head clearing right of ways for a municipal government and gets lots of abuse

Sounds like it's worn enough that it can't seal anymore or an o-ring has failed. I would pick a really heavy oil or real light grease. Things like "00" grease, corn head grease or Lucas hub oil all seem like they would work and might not leak out.

Back when we used to plow with the Cat we used a mix of gun grease and 90wt transmission oil would just about pour in track rollers with no problems and some of them I don't think had much for a seal in them. The D-4 had different rollers that the D-6 did with there being about 20 year difference in age. We used the track roller pump to pump the thinned grease into the rollers. The pump would not pump thick gun grease.

Thank you for the replies.I am going to use about 50cc gear oil and the rest grease. Filled one up with oil after draining to figure the volume and will go for 3/4 full total. I will report later how things work out.
