Maytag dishwasher was repaired under Lowes extended warranty about 2 years ago Repairman replaced everything Including the touch panel.
The start button fell out of place.
The clear plastic circuit board holder had 2 plastic pieces missing, circuit board flexed and start button fell out of place. No one sells the plastic bracket.
I put 2 screws where the plastic pieces are missing.
I used a carpenter's pencil, wrapped with electric tape and used red zip to hold it in place keeping circuit board in place.
I asked the repairman if I could keep the touch panel he replaced.
He said no, I send it back and they refurbish it.
I think repairman installed a refurbish touch panel, not a new panel. Grrrr.
BOSS thinks the start button didn't feel right from the get go.
Always something I need to repair.
This was an easy fix for a person with a redneck engineering degree.
BOSS is happy.
I have a whirlpool dishwasher and refrigerator in my other place that were installed in 1995 when I remolded the kitchen. Never been repaired, works fine.
