Had this tractor a couple years, used it many hours, never gave us any issues..... Until Sunday evening. Middle of bushhogging, started to run terrible, no power, belching black smoke, back firing, flames 2-3 ft out exhaust stack. Limped on to trailer and then off and in shop. Checking it over this morning. The rubbing block for the points is loose and wobbly. Shaft is tight, just the block with 4 lobes. Can this be changed? I have a spare distributor, or 2, easy to swap out whole thing? Line up rotor to #1, pull old, line up 'new' one, install and go? Advice? Help??
