Looks like my injector pump does need to be rebuilt, so Im going to pull it and send it off.
I understand the engine needs to be at top dead center with timing marks and the window on the injector pump lined up.
I have done timing belts and chains on lots of gas vehicles, but diesels are a whole new experience for me.
I normally use a socket and breaker bar on the crank to turn an engine over (with spark plugs out to make it easier to turn!). Is this the same basic principle here? Where exactly is the crank bolt on this thing, and do I go clockwise? Lastly, where are the timing marks?
Anyone here have a FSM in PDF format? Im an admin on a Honda ATV board and we have a lot of digital factory service manuals in a sort of library for folks to use. Would be nice if there was a similar John Deere library
