It only scares you because you don't understand that there is virtually no difference between fuel made from used french fry oil and fuel made from dinosaur squeezins.
They don't just dump the contents of the fry machine into the airplane's tank. It's processed to remove the glycerin (the stuff that would otherwise solidify in the fuel lines), and filtered repeatedly. Look up how biodiesel is made.
Heck I suspect the filtration systems on pickup trucks are exponentially better than anything used on an airplane.
