If you take a look, the bubbles/nubs/drive lugs on double bevel rims are not evenly spaced. At least not on the three 10x38 rims I have sitting here.
It was something I noticed just looking at those rims one afternoon. Those nubs don't look like they're spaced evenly, and sure enough, they aren't when I measured them. They get farther apart as you go.
The hubs that use double bevel rims use 8-12-16 lugs depending on the tractor. At least the ones I've seen. The 400 has 8 lugs. The 856 has 12 lugs. The 1586 has 16 lugs.
You only really need to engage two nubs on the rim.
