The last of the Studebakers used Chevy engines in them.I was looking for an engine for my 55 Chevy in the mid 70's,and the guy at the junkyard sent me out back to look at a low mile Studebaker.It was a Chevy engine all right,and the valve covers were stamped Studebaker.When I sold the 55 I pulled the Stude covers off and kept them.In the mid 80's I had an AMC Concorde,it had a 4 cylinder in it,and was told it was the GM Iron Duke.I didn't have it long enough to ever work on it,and never questioned what I was told,so that could be right or wrong.
