Whoever told you that is dead wrong. One of the seizure failures is shown in the head seizure service bulletin. Drive misalignment, dirt/water in fuel, too high transfer pressure, plugged injector, and the bolt BOTTOMING OUT are all possible causes of any head seizure. Anytime I get a pump in with a broken drive shaft, I press/cut the old head apart to find the cause, as I don't want the repaired pump to seize again.
