Thanks for all the help. I tried a number of things before posting on here, including trying the inside door handle for the passenger and also looking to see if there was some kind of childproof door lock.
There was no problem with opening and closing the door until suddenly it wouldn't open anymore. No warning.
It doesn't look like a terrible job squeezing in there to pop off the door panel to get to the problem. I don't have a "panel popper" but my hive tool that I use for the bees does a good job removing door panels. Thanks again, I'll check back with what I find. Gerrit
