I too have made that determination. I was putting masonite type (hard) sheeting on the side of my house years ago and hit a nail at the wrong angle causing it to fly back in my face and hit my prescription (plastic) lens right in front of my pupil......made me stop and think. On sunglasses I buy the Polaroid flipups at wallyworld. If not being used I take them off my glasses and clip them to the bill of my cap. Optometrist told me several years ago that my cataracts were worse than they should be because I never wore sun glasses.....well I stopped that but somewhat too late. Probably in a year or two will have to have the lenses replaced...not looking forward to that for fear of a botched up job ruining my vision.
So assuming the lens' were replaced I decided that I need to wear glasses anyway for eye protection...maybe bifocals with clear normal and amplified for reading......we'll see.
