Safe place for safety glasses

I was picking up sticks yesterday. I use an old sock and zip

Tie to hold my safety glasses.
I think I need to get a clean sock.

Been clearing trees so we can expand the orchard this year. Waiting on Lowes to get some trees in.

Duh, I too wear safety glasses and when done put them in the sock for the next time...

How do you keep them from falling out of the holes in the toes? Or am I the only guy who has that problem

I always wear sunglasses outside, even on cloudy days, so to me the simplest thing is wear 'safety' rated sunglasses. Eye protection not only from dirt, and debris, and flying objects, but also from sun damage to my eyes: macular degeneration and cataracts. I have spare pairs in each vehicle, but they're the last thing I put on before I go out the door and the first thing I take off when I enter the house, along with my shoes. Mark.

I too have made that determination. I was putting masonite type (hard) sheeting on the side of my house years ago and hit a nail at the wrong angle causing it to fly back in my face and hit my prescription (plastic) lens right in front of my pupil......made me stop and think.
On sunglasses I buy the Polaroid flipups at wallyworld. If not being used I take them off my glasses and clip them to the bill of my cap. Optometrist told me several years ago that my cataracts were worse than they should be because I never wore sun glasses.....well I stopped that but somewhat too late. Probably in a year or two will have to have the lenses replaced...not looking forward to that for fear of a botched up job ruining my vision.

So assuming the lens' were replaced I decided that I need to wear glasses anyway for eye protection...maybe bifocals with clear normal and amplified for reading......we'll see.
