I am doing the same job on my 69 4020 and item 20 does not fit in mine. It uses item 24 which is a smaller bushing with o- ring. The outer bushing in mine also has a groove with an o-ring and smooth flat ring on top of that. An old mechanic at dealership says he has never seen one like it and I can t find replacement bushings or the seals to rebuild it. Has anyone ever seen something like this?? Looks like I am going to have to use the seal number 23 which is the original seal when new. Deere did have the updated bushing with o-ring. That bushing is tapered on the inside and is suppossed to go in one way. I think my old ones were in backwards with the taper to the outside. Which way should the go in???
