Here in southern N.H. I'm being told by the plow guys they are getting $40.minimum for a simple driveway.I have been plowing driveways since 1976,but I am behind the times because I don't take on any new ones.A few years ago I had some $50-$75. dollar ones,but they were hard ones.700 feet through the woods,900 feet through an open field but up a hill,Circular and S shaped driveways with bush and stone lined gardens in them.Last year I lost the last of my 1976 customers,both of them died.Another one that I have been plowing since 1987 said she needed me to get there earlier.(she took on a fussy tenant)I can't do it,I have elderly emergency prone people that have to be catered to first.She thought I would get mad if she found somebody else.I told her it would be the best Christmas present she could give me.Terrible,tight,labor intensive driveway,I only did it because they are lifelong family friends.
