When I put the wear sleeve on the crank for a friend of mines Cat engine in his truck I put a plate on the crank with a couple bolts and pulled it on then to get the rest of the way used the old sleeve behind the plate in front of the new sleeve. Just took it till it was back of the edge or chamfer on the crank so it made a smooth place to slide on. Pressed seal in back plate the same way with the plate and a couple bolts on a flat surface.
