USA farmers are their own worst enemy. Price of corn is up so they plant corn ditch to ditch. This gluts the market of corn and the price of corn goes down and bean prices go up. Next year they plant beans ditch to ditch and repeat the cycle.
Dairy guys are the same way. Price of milk is up buy more cows and flood the market.
Then you look at the sugar cane cartel. They do not plant the headlands. Have nice ditches crossing the fields so no tile needed. But have a higher profit per acre than corn farmers. What do they do differant ???? They control production numbers and place tariffs on imported sugar.
