The belt pulley and PTO shaft are two different parts. The belt pulley can be taken off first to see if that's the problem or taken off together. Probably both need to come off seperatly and reconditioned. You are supposed to remove the small plug at the bottom of the belt pulley housing and drain it when the transmission fluid is changed/drained. You can add fluid through the plug on top of the belt pulley housing to prelube it so it doesn't run dry until more gets pumped in from the transmission. Don't worry about over filling as any extra will drain back into.the transmission. Dave
