In N MN they don't start blending until there is cold weather forecast, because it costs more, that is sometime in the first half of November. That's getting too late for me, as we leave for the South about Nov 15, so last year I just bought 5 gallons of No 1 in October, that seems to be available year around at some stations. I don't intend to use our tractor in cold weather, but I want it ready to go if needed. One year it was -18F during deer season, about Nov 5th, and I sometimes use the tractor to haul deer out and hang them from the loader
