Ok, guys! Thanks for your help. I seem to have been able to fix the situation atleast for now. Heres what I did wrong. I had the top plate cover that was the orginal cover plate on backwards on the top of the aluminum adapter. Insert head bang emoji here!! Once that was switched around it still would not work. The return hose from the joystick control needed to be routed to the return line on the top cover. This now is allowing everything to work. I plugged the now unused return nipple. Please let me know if you think this fix is not a good idea...
