Yes has the black box controller, BUT I have by passed it . Have the solenoid off and the run lever tied in run. To my thinking I have all the electrical out of the circuit. I still think there is a spring broke between the governor and the rack but why did it just happen when this solenoid went out. MOST diesels will run with no electrical until you get up in the late model stuff. This thing is 40+ years old , still think I am missing something simple. No heating required you can go up there right now and hit the key and it will start and run (wherever you have the throttle set) but the minute the starter quits helping it dies instantly. ...
