The JD is a mini. Sure it's rated at 45 HP, but that's with a 1.5L engine. Compared to the MF with only slightly more HP rating, but an engine that is over twice the size at 3.3L. The engine in the MF will run slower to develop the same HP, likely use less fuel and will last a lot longer. The MF is a true utility tractor. The JD is a mini, with a smaller frame, lighter weight and smaller engine. As stated earlier, there is no comparison between the two. The MF is a lot more tractor than the JD.
