I baled a lot of small squares with a setup like that, but behind a JD R, I liked the hand clutch for baling. Once in awhile I would miss the wagon going around a corner, I could just pop the clutch back and jump off and put the bale on top of the next one. Our baler had the hydraulic aiming option, but I still missed sometimes.
