Match it with the others on it or do the best thing and make all 3 the correct length. Yes they stretch and the baler doesn't work as good when they get to long. Not sure why it makes a difference as I have never noticed it but that is what they say. Maybe we just compensate as they get longer and just don't notice it. I do know that if one is short and the other long they have a tenancy to over lap each other and rip easier.
