I think I've shared that here before... and I will have to dig for pics. Feb 10th, 1980. Dad was using the 5020 (just back from overhaul) to haul manure, as the 4020 was in the shop. We have a crossing near the farm, and there is a cut to the south east. He claims he did not see the train, due to the sun, the snow, etc. It was also only two engines and a caboose, so it is likely he looked past the train, and didn't see it in the foreground.
Anyway, the train hit the 5020 right ahead of the cab, and broke the tractor in two at the bell housing. He flew out a window, and landed in the snowbank. The rear tire came off the center casting; they found his glasses under the tire.
He walked away, and flagged down the ambulance. He had a separated shoulder, but otherwise was OK. If you are wondering, I was in 1st grade, I remember my teacher asking if that was your dad?
