Not at familiar with Case tractors. But,if I were you,I march right down to the case dealer and (at minimum) order an Owners manual. Then a service manual. It could be a 'factory' manual,or an I&T manual.That OM will give oil types,capicitys,lube schedules,plus a bunch of stuff you didn't know you needed to know.That book will be the most important thing you will ever buy for your tractor.You bush hog at a safe speed,a speed the tractor is able to pull the hog. Be it first gear,or high gear.However,2nd or third would probably be about right.You might want to sort through your father's things. The original owners manual may be there.
