I've had a stainless steel, 304 food grade stainless 2-1/2 x .035 wall on my SUPER H FARMALL for 25 years. It will corrode when used as an exh pipe. It turns dark blue then fades to a brown then gold and finally a light straw color. The tractor is mostly used to push snow in winter, never gets worked hard like when Dad was farming. I had chrome straight pipes on it too, they turn color also. You might discuss a double wall pipe with Dave Thormure, 1-3/4 inner pipe, 2 or whatever size outer pipe to fit your hood.
