Stainless steel exhaust pipe....

I have been trying to find a 24 stainless steel pipe- show quality pipe- for my my Oliver 77 - I ordered a piece last week that claimed to be stainless steel- might be but its not like the mufflers that are stainless...I am not wanting just a piece of exhaust pipe. 1.75 ID on the Inlet... Any help ? Thanks.
 
If what you have is stainless you can polish it to make it shine. They still turn blue if they get hit as all do. But with stainless you can just polish it to a shine again. What some do is get a larger chrome or stainless and run another inside to keep the shine on them.
 
ok- its fairly close to the hole coming thru the hood now. Where do I find this chrome or show quality straight pipe?

If what you have is stainless you are an hour or so of polishing from having a shiny pipe. But here is a source.

call 1-800-527-9954, THORMURE MFG. Tell them exactly what you want, polished stainless steel or chrome, 1-3/4 dia by 24 inch long and they will make you exactly what you want.

I've had a stainless steel, 304 food grade stainless 2-1/2 x .035 wall on my SUPER H FARMALL for 25 years. It will corrode when used as an exh pipe. It turns dark blue then fades to a brown then gold and finally a light straw color. The tractor is mostly used to push snow in winter, never gets worked hard like when Dad was farming. I had chrome straight pipes on it too, they turn color also. You might discuss a double wall pipe with Dave Thormure, 1-3/4 inner pipe, 2 or whatever size outer pipe to fit your hood.
