Those can be a PITA, you built the right type of tool. They can take a lot, a mix of ATF and acetone sprayed will sometimes help. I did have one instance to where one would just not come out with heat, hours and hours of labor, and every pull twist and pry motion you can imagine. The customer agreed to pull the head and I worked and worked on it, and finally drove it out from the bottom. That is actually a Mitsubishi engine that Cat acquired when they took Mitsubishi's heavy equipment division over.
