Now that is what I call art, when someone gets that detailed capturing every individual thread!
There is a display at the big art museum in town, I haven't been in years, so I don't remember who the artist is, but he used that style.
There is a large oil painting of a man reading the want ads, every letter is readable, exactly as the paper would have been printed. The subject has a lit cigar that has rolled off the ashtray and has burned through some of the newspapers. It looks so real! First thought is I need to do something about this!
Same artist, probably back in the 40's-50's, read an article about the treasury departments latest efforts to stop counterfeiting had issued a new $5 bill that would be virtually impossible to copy.
He took the challenge, sat down and hand painted an exact copy and mailed it to them! They couldn't decide weather to have him arrested of admit their defeat!
