I doubt a one or 2 time use would grenade your late model engine. Maybe years of use would cause issues...
My Subaru (bought 3rd hand) uses enough oil I would go broke buying the 5-30 Synthetic spec'd by Subaru. It gets 10-30 Diesel oil I buy in either 2gal or 5gal depending on what is on sale. Sometimes regular gas engine oil too if its on sale and cheaper. I have a funnel and a old school galvanized qt oil pitcher.
