General gps like a phone or tablet can be off 12 feet, and can wander a bit during the day or year to year can wander quite a bit. Really nice to find an address or a field, or to circle a field for approximate size, etc. but not really helpful for close work.
Waas gps is better, it can be off a 2-3 feet, and it too can wander from year to year. It gives a good reference for tillage or spraying, but isnt real accurate for planting and such.
RTK is really spendy, and needs a local ground transmitter that likely costs you a yearly license fee, and can be within 3 inches or less year to year to year. Thry use that local non-moving reference point to keep the slightly wandering satellites honest.
I think a lot of light bars are waas. Might be helpful for planting, but not going to be accurate all day long....... Hope someone who knows more chimes in.
