Actually they make several products. The two most commonly available here in Michigan are "Diesel Fuel Supplement +Cetane Boost" and "Diesel 911". Both will prevent gelling. Diesel 911 is specifically intended for use when gelling has ALREADY OCCURRED. PS recommends the use of Diesel Fuel Supplement +Cetane Boost, not 911, to PREVENT gelling.
I put a quart of PS Diesel Fuel Supplement +Cetane Boost in my oil furnace's outdoor tank each fall. Since I started doing that, I've never had a problem with gelled fuel.
