The MF 275 only came with the Perkins 4.248 diesel. Engine MIGHT be "wet stacking", too much light load use, or low cylinder compression heat. Make sure the thermostat woks right too, low coolant temp makes it worse. If engine starts harder than normal cold, might be low compression. Injectors removed and a compression test will confirm engine piston/rings/sleeves condition.
