The "button" is not the correct one and must be tight and turned the correct way depending on the saddle sw whether it is in position for the saddle sw if the sw is either push or plull to enguage. It is a rebuilt starter and who did it has made a mistake on that button. Check another starter for a Cub and you will see the difference
