I can not say about the removal.I can say you would need to core the old casting out to round then put a new bushing in to fit the shaft. The shaft will also undoubtedly be worn, so it will still have some play when you get it in place. Might be able to braze the hole up some then fit to shaft by boring it out. Or could pour solder in the hole with a form in the hole and a plug of some sort on the bottom with it laying down to hold the solder in. It would work like a poured rod bearing in and old GM splasher.
