If you let the tire down some,so there is pressure to keep it in the drop of the rim. It will pry off easier since you don't have to hold that and try to pry also. It also will combat the gravity for you. After you have it off part way then raise it up to hang and gravity will help there too. Reverse for putting on. Murphy oil soap or mounting compound will help with both directions. A vise grip on the rim lip will help with mounting to keep the bead from sliding around the rim as you pry. The guy that did the grain cart use 2 of them to hold it till he had enough to keep it on while prying the next bite on. That was a 12 ply tire.
