When round bales first came into the area, we hired a local custom baler to roll some up for us. I had a JD B with no three point or loader. I got a sheet of 3/4" plywood, bolted a 2 X 4 around the edge and bolted a short chain to the ends. I made a front bumper for the B, and would roll the bales on the plywood and drag them to a row for storage. We fed cows all winter with that set-up. We thought we were running with the big boys.
